Uche Fuels Dominant Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their first-ever continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a commanding result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second game in match.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their domestic season were outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg injuries.
Control Established from the Outset
In spite of torrential rain in Dublin, Palace quickly established dominance. A flowing move in the 11th minute, sparked by Daichi Kamada's clever pass, let Nketiah to set up Uche for a simple finish.

Shelbourne were hanging on desperately. Full-back Kameron Ledwidge was lucky to escape a booking for two agricultural tackles on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the woodwork with a powerful header from a corner.
Pino Wraps Up the Game
The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
